RULES & POLICY FOR HOTEL GUESTS
- Check In time is 2:00pm. Check out time is 11:00 am
- Guest must be 18+year of age to rent a room.
- Guest must not be of local residence ie: Middlesboro, Harrogate, Tazewell area.
- Drivers License/Photo ID or legal picture ID document is required.
- After check out time, the guest will be charged $20 per hour if still in the room or departed with their key.
- Over 4 people are not allowed to be in the room. It will cost $20 per person.
- Guest may examine the room before checking-in.
- Early check in fee may apply.
- Once Checked in, money CANNOT be refunded.
- All the guests to be aware that we don’t charge credit card until the guests arrive on the day of room reservation. However, we do charge the credit card if a guest doesn’t show up and does not call prior to a least 12 hours before arrival. Just to be fair, we do not want to lose the sale for that day from the room that is reserved and is being held for a reserved guest. It is always best to call if a situation comes up where it is difficult to get to the hotel on the day of the reservation.
- It is to be informed to all our hotel prospective guests not to be alarmed if the Expedia.com, Booking.com or the other third-party commission agent sites show no rooms are available for the Cumberland Gap Inn. The reason for that can be that the Cumberland Gap Inn chooses not to deal with the outside commission agent companies due to a heavy volume of the booking by our regular guests. Please call the Cumberland Gap Inn to verify if we have rooms available. Please be advised to call the hotel at 423 869 3996 ext. zero or 865 850 3226 cell to check to see if there are any cancellations on any special occasions.
- Strictly No Visitors Allowed after 9pm. Room occupancy is limited to guests only.
- No Parties, No Loud Music, No Loud talking are allowed. Guest may be asked to leave the hotel room without refund. This also applies to weekly rentals.
- We do not accept Checks or American Express Cards.
- All Occupants are responsible for their belongings including their vehicle.
- Damage to the room caused by occupant, child, or pet (or lost/stolen items) will be charged at a minimum $250 to the Guest on their credit card/cash and/or face law enforcement.
- Strictly NO Cooking in the room.
- GUESTS WILL BE CHARGED $250 FOR SMOKING IN A NON-SMOKING ROOM. Guest can smoke at the back patio but avoid having smoke go next patio next door.
- Pets must be declared upon check in. Pet fee of $20 will apply. Damage caused by pets will be charged at a minimum of $250. Failure to declare any pets will result in immediate check out without refund or pet fee may double.
- No Room service after 9pm.
- Advertised room rates may vary depending upon influencing factors such as season, special events, etc.
- Property is under live security surveillance camera system 27/7.
- The Cumberland Gap Inn has NO REFUND POLICY.
- Front Desk Office closes at 11pm. Front Desk Office opens at 9am. Guest may drop the room keys into Key Drop Box outside the entry door.
- We do not accept Personal checks or American Express Cards. However, we do accept Business checks & Business American Express Cards from the Contractors with authorized signatures. Other credit and debit cards will be subject to 3.5% processing fee.
- Pets must be attended by Pets owners. Excessive dog barking will result in asking occupant to check out immediately with no refund.
- There will be no refund for items that are out of the hotel management’s control such has “no internet or tv” due to a local outage. This includes any issues that are out of the control of hotel management.
- This Hotel has a strict Pest Control Policy. All rooms are inspected before and after the rooms are made. Every room’s mattresses are covered with a special bed bug encasement, bed bugs can’t not enter the mattresses. If a guest brings bed bugs with them, there will not be a refund and the guest will be charged a minimum damage fee of $250. Hotel housekeepers, inspect all mattresses prior to making the beds. Any claim for bugs or bed bugs will not be accepted and there will not be a refund.
RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellation of a reservation must be done 48 hours prior to arrival.
- Guest will be charged one night for not showing up on the reservation date.
- Guest must make a special arrangement with the Hotel Manager if he/she plans to arrive at the hotel later than 11pm .
- Hotel phone number and Managers telephone numbers are posted on the entry door for anyone who arrives after hours. There will not be refund if the person does decide to leave the hotel without contacting Managers.
- Guests who intends to arrive after 1am must have made prior arrangements. This is done by calling before 10pm and providing credit card authorization. We will then set up a “self check-in”.
AMERICAN WITH DISABILITY ACT-ADA
- We have two Handicap rooms located at the Cumberland Gap Inn. The rooms are fully accessible to facilitate Physically and Mentally Challenged citizens.
- Our Handicap rooms are located at the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible.
- Our staff members are available to assist Physically and Mentally challenged individuals.
- We have convenient parking in front of both Handicap rooms.
- The rooms are located close to the Front Desk making our assistance fast and easy.
